Safe for HF Shack By
I ordered the SS30DV from Elecraft together with the K4D.  No noise experience.  Well built.

Very Good Power Supply By
I've had this power supply for about 5 years now.  I've used it for my base station operation, though only on VHF/UHF.  I like the convenience of the PowerPole connections on the front of the cabinet, and that there are two connectors, not just one in the front and the others in the rear. I've never had issues with the DC power this supply delivers.  Other members of my club use this power supply, as well, and are quite happy with it.  The portability is a big plus, and light weight means I can pack it in a go-bag and not have to lug a huge power supply around with me.

RFI spikes By
I guess a lot of lucky folks reviewing this. I got one that has RF spikes on my bandscope at regular intervals, on 20, 40, and 80m. Quite RF noisy. My friend picked up a new rig and antenna and got this power supply also, he told me the RFI was pretty intense as well, and ended up switching it out. YMMV. Lots of folks here saying it's RF quite, but that was definitely NOT the case for at least 2 people, me and my fellow ham friend.

Check them By
I love these little power supplies. They are trouble free and quiet. I'm running two right now and have ordered a third. The only thing to be aware of is they ship set to 220 volts. If you don't pay attention you can end up running them at half power when they are plugged into 110 volt lines. Just check the switch on the back when you get it.

Review of Powerwerx By
This is not so much a review of the power supply ... Have two and both are great but a review of the company. The following are abbreviated portions an exchange between myself and Powerwerx ... Last month I called Powerwerx to place an order and I asked for a schematic to service it (I thought it was out of warranty). They asked me for the serial number and I gave it to them. They said, we delivered a batch of power supplies, that included that serial number to HRO and based on the date delivered to HRO, it is covered under the three year warranty. They said I would need the receipt. I could not find it and called HRO. They had it, made a copy and mailed it to me (found out later Cheryl, my YL, also a ham  had it). I mailed the power supply back to Powerwerx and in a week plus a day, got a new one back. That is GREAT service. Oh yes, my first one, about 6 years old now, has been flawless.

Beautiful Power Supply By
I really wanted a compact power supply for use camping.  I have an Astron SS-30M which I modified to take Anderson Power Poles (the stock wire connectors are terrible).  The Powerwerx SS-30DV is smaller and already has the APP connectors on the front plus studs in the back!  I am running my Icom IC-7300 off it in the shack now to test things out before we hit the campsites.  Working great!!!

Small Package By
Great little power supply. No noise generated from the unit, and I operate
80m to 1296. Super quiet fan. Power a DC bus from the spade lugs on back.
Power a Pro III and a vhf preamp from power pole connection's on front. Took the place of large linear supply. Footprint much smaller.

Cool Running Supply no apparent RF noise By
I've been using this for quite a few years now and can only add how happy I am small, quiet and does barely get warm. Have taken portable also.

Looking at buying a second now to replace all my 12V Wallwarts in the shack.

Fantastic Power Supply By
If you are a fan of power poles and easy to use/operate equipment, this is the power supply for you. Basically a very small, compact 25A (30A surge) DC power supply with power poles right on the front panel. Great for accessories or portable applications. I'm using on my desk at work, I bring different radios in and they are powered up in seconds. I am very impressed with the quality of workmanship and the neat, easy to use design. I would highly recommend this to anyone who needs portability and a compact design.

This thing rocks! By
I have beat the heck out of this thing and it performs admirably. Even when putting a 50A battery tester on it, the current limiting does its job and cuts down the voltage. The small size is very convenient for travel and power poles on the front makes this the best supply in its class, if you ask me. Meters would be nice, but it's hard to complain!

Great supply and rugged also. By
I use this supply at home and with my portable station. As I camp and operate radios over several days I have found this supply to be compact, noisefree, and reliable.

At home it powers a 100 watt HF radio and a 50 watt dual band FM with no issues.

In portable use it works in conjunction with your 40 amp powergate charger and a 100 amp gel cell to power a 100 watt HF radio.

Your products are sturdy and all seem to plug n play together. Thak you

No HF et. al. Interference By
Got this for portable use because of its relatively small size and light weight compared to the Yaesu FP-1030A. Using this supply, listened across all frequencies on all ham bands 160m to 2 m and 70 cm on a Yaesu FT-897D finding NO noise or interference of any kind from this switching power supply. Then, transmitting at 100 watts on 80, 40, 20, 15, 10, 2 meters and 70 cm, got clean signal reports on audio.

Great Regulation - Runs Cool By
I purchased the SS30DV power supply specifically for my ADTV project. Running class A amplifiers require very good power regulation to maintain close bias tolerances.  The SS30DV came well packaged and even the poly bag was folded meticulously.  I connected the power supply to a load of 250W 12V lamps. The no load voltage was 13.86V and I ran the power supply with the 20A load for 3 hours.  With the full 20A load the output voltage was 13.78V.  The exhaust fan air temperature was 105F degs.  This power supply will serve the TV transmitter nicely.
