Works great! Warning about RVs. By
I initially had trouble with this unit, but it was my fault. I installed this unit in my travel trailer to allow me to have a PD capable charger while only using 12v battery power if I'm off-grid. I initially used the existing wiring for the 12v system and pulled power from one of the existing 12v-power USB plugs. I had issues where if I tried to pull more than ~30W, the unit would repeatedly restart/reboot itself. I thought it was an issue with the unit since the breakers/fuses weren't tripping. But unbeknownst to me, there are automatically resetting Fuses located in the main box at the front of the camper where the battery sits. Behind the battery cutoff switch, there are multiple auto-reset breakers for different circuits.

When I connected the unit directly to a 12v battery, I was able to pull full power without issue, so I knew it was somehow a problem with the existing wiring. I ran my own dual-conductor 18AWG cable that is rated for 7-amps. At the full ~78W, the unit is pulling about 6.5-amps, so we're good there. The unit does get pretty warm under full load (USB-C @ 60W, USB-A @ 18W), so mount it somewhere that has a little airflow.

I've tested the unit and it's worked great so far. I've been able to charge a few laptops and charge USB battery banks.

It's not cheap for what it is, but it works really well.

For my personal peace of mind, I wired a simple SPST switch and an 8A fuse in series with the ground line. Be sure to use ferruls on your input-power wires if you're using stranded wire. Using bare stranded wire in these types of connections is considered a fire hazard, especially when used in something that can shake around, like a vehicle or RV. Be safe!

This is a true smart charger. Using this I'm enabled to bypass using an inverter and 120v smart charger to run a high drawing gateway on my small solar system. It's worth ever penny.
