The BPS702 (Backup Power Selector) provides a simple, solid state solution to add battery back-up to your base station power supply. This unit features two DC power inputs and a single output to your critical electronics. The BPS702 will take the highest voltage input source (like a power supply) and pass that through to the units output. If the #1 input source ever fails or you have a power failure, the BPS will automatically switch to the second input (usually a battery) for seamless redundant operation.
The BPS702 may be used on 12-48 VDC systems, provided both input power sources are the same nominal voltages (+/- 6 VDC). The BPS702 is rated for loads up to 70 amps on 12-48 VDC systems. This unit includes rugged construction with heavy duty wiring studs and potted epoxy components in an anodized aluminum case.
