Customer Reviews
Excellent accessory for the AnyTone 878 uvii plus By
My DMR rig is the AnyTone 878 uvii plus and the SkyBridge Max hot spot. I bought the Q9 Bluetooth Mono Headset to use with the rig. Touching the multifunction button on the headset instead of using the Bluetooth PTT accessory makes QSOs truly hands free. Reports of my audio quality have been excellent. Reception is also crystal clear. The Q9 pairs with the rig very readily with Bluetooth. The Q9 also pairs nicely with my iPhone and iPad Pro. The only complaint I have is the manual.  It is only 2x3 inches and the print is almost impossible to read. I could not find a PDF file of the manual online. I had to resort to trying to read the manual with a magnifying glass. In my judgement the Q9 is an excellent accessory for the AnyTone 878 uvii plus. I don’t think you will have regrets if you buy one for your AT-878,

Excellent product By
There were so few reviews of this headset that I was reluctant to buy it. I have the AnyTone 878uvii Plus and because the headset is an AnyTone product I decided to take the chance and get it for my rig. I am delighted with it. On receive the audio is crystal clear. On transmit most stations report my audio is so good it sounds like I am sitting in the room. It pairs easily with the AT-878uvii Plus as well as with my PC, iPad and iPhone. The earpiece fits comfortably on either ear and the microphone adjusts accordingly. The PTT button is on the earpiece. It only requires a brief push to start or stop transmitting. This takes some getting use to because it is exactly opposite of the PTT button that comes with the radio. On the other hand once you practice with it a few times it truly gives you hands free operation during QSOs.  I have used it for several hours with only a 20% reduction in the battery charge. By the way it also comes with a charging cable. The only complaint I have is the manual that is enclosed. It is only 3x2 inches and almost impossible to read. I looked online for a PDF of the manual but couldn’t find one. If you have an AnyTone radio with Bluetooth I don’t think you will regret buying the Q9.

Great Audio-PTT button needs improvement By
Overall, this is a very comfortable headset with very good sound. the only real dislike here is the PTT. You have to push once to start transmitting, and push again to stop. not really the traditional method. I found it much easier to keep the radio on my belt in easy reach, and just use the radio PTT, then to mess with the headset button. I also setup my radio to use the green button on top of the radio to act as a PTT for the secondary frequency, which helps a bit as well. Great headset, great battery life. very easy to setup, but use the PTT on your radio so you dont end up accidentally transmitting for 20 min.
