WXRSM was redesigned for 2015 with high impact plastic housing. Kevlar reinforced polyurethane jacketed microphone cable with ample strain relief and an impact resistant, polycarbonate housing, prepare it a long product lifespan. New design is ideal for use in most applications and is rain, snow and dust resistant and includes a spring loaded metal reinforced clothing clip that can rotate a full 360 allowing the user to wear the it securely with most types of uniforms. The heavy duty speaker microphone has a high quality electret condenser-style microphone that transmits clear audio. It also has a powerful speaker that provides ample sound on receive. For added privacy, it also has and a 3.5mm earphone jack that allows the user to privately listen to their radio, and provides a clean and professional look.

Works with models KG-UV6X, KG-UV3X, DB-16, KG-UV3D, KG-UV9D, GMR2, AT-D878UV & AT-D868UV.

Good, solid commercial quality mic By Guest

I use this mostly for ARES public service events with my Wouxun UV6X. Rugged, works great. As already mentioned, the external speaker jack is mono, but this is an easily solved minor annoyance if you like to use standard earbuds. Highly recommended.

Great Mic By Guest

Just received the speaker mic, and WOW! Great sound quality and very rugged. Would recommend this for any Wouxun radio, as I am using it on the KG-UV9D.

Need Mono to Stereo Adaptor By Jamey Matheny

The jack on the Speaker/Microphone to plug in earbuds or a headset is mono. You will need a 3.5mm male mono to 3.5mm female stereo adaptor to use the Speaker/Microphone with a standard set of earbuds or stereo headphones.
Buy at Radio Shack or just about anywhere.
Otherwise this is a recommended purchase.
